LANXESS and its European distribution partner, KRAHN Chemie Group, outlined plans to present metalworking fluid solutions at Lubricant Expo Europe 2026. The September 8 announcement gives the event dates as September 15–17 in Düsseldorf and identifies Hall 10, booth 310a, for their joint presence.
More than a single additive
According to LANXESS, the planned display brings together lubricant additives, synthetic base fluids and biocides, with attention to microbial control in lubricant formulations. The announcement also points to technical discussions about formulation challenges.
For industrial lubricant buyers, the useful theme is the connection between components and application support. A portfolio description alone does not establish that every component is suitable for a particular finished fluid.
Make supplier discussions easier to compare
A focused enquiry can separate three purchasing needs:
- Application brief: identify whether the requirement concerns a component or a finished fluid, the machining application and the performance targets.
- Technical support: ask which formulation data, compatibility assessments and trial support are available for that application.
- Commercial scope: confirm the supplier responsible for the destination market, product grade, pack size, sample terms and quoted lead time.
This approach turns a trade-show discussion into a comparable sourcing record. Any proposed formulation change should then follow the buyer's normal qualification process.
